1:1-6 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 How blessed is the man who does R1 not walk in the counsel R2 of the wicked, Nor stand in the path R3 F1 of sinners, Nor sit R4 in the seat of scoffers! 2 But his delight R5 is in R6 the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day R7 and night. R8 3 He will be like a R9 tree firmly planted by streams F2 of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf F3 does not wither; And in F4 whatever he does, he R10 prospers.

4 The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff R11 which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the R12 wicked will not stand in the judgment, R13 Nor sinners in the R14 assembly of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows R15 F5 the way of the righteous, But the way of the R16 wicked will perish.

2:1-12 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 Why are the R17 nations F6 in an uproar And the peoples devising R18 a vain thing? 2 The kings R19 of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against R20 the LORD and against His Anointed, R21 F7 saying, 3 "Let us tear R22 their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!" 4 He who sits F8 in the heavens laughs, R23 The Lord scoffs R24 at them. 5 Then He will speak to them in His anger R25 And terrify R26 them in His fury, saying, 6 "But as for Me, I have installed F9 My R27 King Upon Zion, My R28 holy mountain."

7 "I will surely tell of the decree F10 of the LORD: He said to Me, `You are My R29 Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 `Ask of Me, and I R30 will surely give the R31 nations F11 as Your inheritance, And the very ends R32 of the earth as Your possession. 9 `You shall break R33 F12 them with a rod F13 of iron, You shall shatter R34 them like earthenware.' F14 "

10 Now therefore, O kings, show R35 discernment; Take warning, O judges F15 of the earth. 11 Worship F16 the LORD with reverence R36 F17 And rejoice with trembling. R37 12 Do F18 homage to the R38 Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His R39 wrath may soon F19 be kindled. How blessed are all who take R40 refuge in Him!

3:1-8 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 O LORD, how my R41 adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me. 2 Many are saying of F20 my soul, "There is no deliverance R42 F21 for him in God." Selah. F22 3 But You, O LORD, are a R43 shield about me, My glory, R44 and the One who lifts R45 my head.

4 I was crying to the LORD with my voice, And He answered R46 me from His R47 holy mountain. F23 Selah. 5 I F24 lay R48 down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me. 6 I will not R49 be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set R50 themselves against me round about. 7 Arise, R51 O LORD; save R52 me, O my God! For You have F25 smitten R53 all my enemies on the cheek; F26 You have F27 shattered R54 the teeth of the wicked. 8 Salvation R55 F28 belongs to the LORD; Your blessing R56 be F29 upon Your people! Selah.

4:1-8 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 Answer R57 me when I R58 call, O God of F30 my righteousness! You have relieved R59 F31 me in my distress; Be gracious R60 to me and hear R61 my prayer. 2 O sons of men, how long will my R62 honor F32 become a R63 reproach? How long will you love what R64 is worthless and aim at deception? R65 Selah. F33 3 But know that the LORD has set R66 F34 apart the godly R67 man for Himself; The LORD hears R68 when I call to Him. 4 Tremble, R69 F35 and R70 F36 do not sin; Meditate R71 F37 in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. 5 Offer the F38 sacrifices R72 of righteousness, And trust R73 in the LORD.

6 Many are saying, "Who R74 will show us any good?" Lift R75 up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD! 7 You have put gladness R76 in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine abound. 8 In peace I will both F39 lie R77 down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell R78 in safety.

5:1-12 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 Give R79 ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my groaning. R80 F40 2 Heed the R81 sound of my cry for help, my R82 King and my God, For to You I pray. 3 In the morning, O LORD, You F41 will hear my voice; In the morning R83 I will order my prayer F42 to You and eagerly watch. R84 4 For You are not a God who R85 takes pleasure in wickedness; No R86 evil dwells F43 with You. 5 The boastful R87 shall not stand R88 before Your eyes; You hate R89 all who do iniquity. 6 You destroy R90 those who speak falsehood; The LORD abhors the R91 man of bloodshed and deceit.

7 But as for me, by R92 Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house, At F44 Your holy temple I will bow R93 in reverence R94 for You. 8 O LORD, lead R95 me in R96 Your righteousness because R97 of my F45 foes; Make Your way straight F46 before me. 9 There is nothing R98 reliable F47 in what F48 they say; Their inward R99 part is destruction itself. Their throat R100 is an open grave; They flatter F49 with their tongue. 10 Hold them guilty, O God; By R101 their own devices let them fall! In the multitude of their transgressions thrust R102 them out, For they are rebellious R103 against You. 11 But let all who take R104 refuge in You be R105 glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And may F50 You shelter R106 them, That those who love R107 Your name may exult in You. 12 For it is You who blesses R108 the righteous man, O LORD, You surround R109 him with favor as with a shield.

6:1-10 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 O LORD, do R110 not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your wrath. 2 Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am pining R111 away; Heal R112 me, O LORD, for my R113 bones are dismayed. 3 And my soul R114 is greatly dismayed; But You, O LORD--how R115 long? 4 Return, O LORD, rescue R116 my soul; F51 Save me because of Your lovingkindness. 5 For there R117 is no mention F52 of You in death; In Sheol F53 who will give You thanks? 6 I am weary R118 with my sighing; Every night I make my bed swim, I dissolve my couch with my R119 tears. 7 My eye R120 has wasted away with grief; It has become old because of all my adversaries.

8 Depart R121 from me, all you who do iniquity, For the LORD has R122 heard the voice of my weeping. 9 The LORD has R123 heard my supplication, The LORD receives R124 my prayer. 10 All my enemies will be R125 ashamed and greatly dismayed; They shall turn F54 back, they will suddenly R126 be ashamed.

7:1-17 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 O LORD my God, in R127 You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver R128 me, 2 Or he will tear my F55 soul like R129 a lion, Dragging F56 me away, while there is none to deliver. 3 O LORD my God, if I have done this, If there is injustice R130 in my hands, 4 If I have rewarded R131 evil to my F57 friend, Or have plundered R132 him F58 who without cause was my adversary, 5 Let the enemy pursue my F59 soul and overtake it; F60 And let him trample my life down to the ground And lay my glory in the dust. Selah. F61 6 Arise, R133 O LORD, in Your anger; Lift R134 up Yourself against the R135 rage of my adversaries, And arouse R136 Yourself for F62 me; You have appointed judgment. 7 Let the assembly of the peoples R137 encompass You, And over them F63 return on high. 8 The LORD judges R138 the peoples; Vindicate R139 F64 me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me. 9 O let the R140 evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish R141 the righteous; For the righteous God tries R142 the hearts and minds. F65

10 My shield R143 is with F66 God, Who saves R144 the upright in heart. 11 God is a righteous R145 judge, And a God who has indignation R146 every day. 12 If a F67 man does R147 not repent, He will sharpen R148 His sword; He has bent R149 His bow and made F68 it ready. 13 He has also prepared for F69 Himself deadly weapons; He makes His arrows R150 fiery shafts. 14 Behold, he travails with wickedness, And he conceives R151 mischief and brings forth falsehood. 15 He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen R152 into the hole which he made. 16 His mischief R153 will return upon his own head, And his violence R154 will descend upon his F70 own pate. 17 I will give thanks to the LORD according R155 to His righteousness And will sing R156 praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

8:1-9 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 O LORD, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth, Who have displayed R157 F71 Your splendor above the heavens! 2 From R158 the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength R159 F72 Because of Your adversaries, To make the R160 enemy and the revengeful cease.

3 When I consider R161 F73 Your R162 heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon R163 and the stars, which You have ordained; F74 4 What R164 is man that You take F75 thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him? 5 Yet You have made him a little R165 lower than God, F76 And You R166 crown him with glory R167 and majesty! 6 You make him to rule R168 over the works of Your hands; You have put R169 all things under his feet, 7 All sheep and oxen, And also the beasts F77 of the field, 8 The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas. 9 O R170 LORD, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth!

1 I will give thanks to the LORD with all my R171 heart; I will tell R172 of all Your wonders. F78 2 I will be glad and exult R173 in You; I will sing R174 praise to Your name, O Most R175 High. 3 When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish R176 before You. 4 For You have maintained R177 my F79 just cause; You have sat on the throne judging R178 F80 righteously. 5 You have rebuked R179 the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted R180 out their name forever and ever. 6 The F81 enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins, And You have uprooted the cities; The very memory R181 of them has perished. 7 But the LORD abides F82 forever; He has established His throne R183 for judgment, 8 And He will judge R184 the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity. 9 The F83 LORD also will be a stronghold R185 for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble; 10 And those F84 who know R186 Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not forsaken R187 those who seek You.

11 Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells R188 in Zion; Declare R189 among the peoples His deeds. 12 For He R190 who requires F85 blood remembers them; He does not forget the R191 cry of the afflicted. 13 Be gracious to me, O LORD; See my affliction from those who R192 hate me, You who lift R193 me up from the gates of death, 14 That I may tell of all R194 Your praises, That in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice R195 in Your salvation. F86 15 The nations have sunk down in R196 the pit which they have made; In the net R197 which they hid, their own foot has been caught. 16 The LORD has made R198 Himself known; He has executed R199 judgment. In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared. Higgaion F87 Selah. F88 17 The wicked will return R200 F89 to Sheol, F90 Even all the nations who forget R201 God. 18 For the needy R202 will not always be forgotten, Nor the hope R203 of the afflicted perish forever. 19 Arise, R204 O LORD, do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged R205 before You. 20 Put them in R206 fear, O LORD; Let the nations know that they are but R207 men. Selah.

1 Why do R208 You stand afar off, O LORD? Why do R209 You hide Yourself F91 in times of trouble? 2 In pride R210 the wicked hotly F92 pursue the afflicted; Let F93 them be caught R211 in the plots which they have devised. 3 For the wicked boasts R212 of his heart's R213 desire, And the F94 greedy man curses and spurns R214 the LORD. 4 The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does R215 not seek Him. All his thoughts F95 are, "There R216 is no God." 5 His ways prosper R217 F96 at all times; Your judgments are on high, out R218 of his sight; As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them. 6 He says to himself, "I R219 will not be moved; Throughout F97 all generations I R220 will not be in adversity." 7 His mouth R221 is full of curses and deceit and oppression; R222 Under R223 his tongue is mischief and wickedness. 8 He sits in the lurking R224 places of the villages; In the hiding places he kills R225 the innocent; His eyes stealthily F98 watch for the unfortunate. R226 F99 9 He lurks in a hiding place as a R227 lion in his lair; F100 He lurks R228 to catch the R229 afflicted; He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his net. R230 10 He crouches, F101 he bows F102 down, And the unfortunate F103 fall by F104 his mighty ones. 11 He says R231 to himself, "God has forgotten; He has hidden His face; He will never see it."

12 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift R232 up Your hand. Do R233 not forget the afflicted. 13 Why has the wicked spurned R234 God? He has said to himself, "You will not require it." 14 You have seen it, for You have beheld mischief R235 and vexation to take F105 it into Your hand. The unfortunate R236 F106 commits himself to You; You have been the helper R237 of the orphan. 15 Break R238 the arm of the wicked and the evildoer, Seek R239 F107 out his wickedness until You find none. 16 The LORD is King R240 forever and ever; Nations R241 have perished from His land. 17 O LORD, You have heard the desire R242 of the humble; F108 You will strengthen R243 their heart, You R244 will incline Your ear 18 To vindicate F109 the orphan R245 and the oppressed, R246 So that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror. R247

1 In the LORD I take R248 refuge; How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain; R249 2 For, behold, the wicked bend R250 the bow, They make R251 F110 ready their arrow upon the string To shoot R252 in darkness at the upright in heart. 3 If the foundations R253 are destroyed, What can the righteous do?"

4 The LORD is in His holy R254 temple; the LORD'S throne R255 is in heaven; His eyes R256 behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. 5 The LORD tests R257 the righteous and the R258 wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates. 6 Upon the wicked He will rain R259 snares; F112 Fire R260 and brimstone and burning R261 wind will be the portion of their R262 cup. 7 For the LORD is righteous, R263 He R264 loves righteousness; F113 The upright will behold R265 His face.

1 Help, LORD, for the R266 godly man ceases to be, For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men. 2 They speak R267 falsehood F114 to one another; With flattering R268 lips F115 and with a double heart they speak. 3 May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks R269 great things; 4 Who have R270 said, "With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our F116 own; who is lord over us?" 5 "Because of the devastation R271 of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I R272 will arise," says the LORD; "I will set R273 him in the safety for which he longs." 6 The words R274 of the LORD are pure words; As silver tried R275 in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times. 7 You, O LORD, will keep them; You will preserve R276 him from this generation forever. 8 The wicked R277 strut about on every side When vileness R278 F117 is exalted among the sons of men.

1 How long, O LORD? Will You forget R279 me forever? How long will R280 You hide Your face from me? 2 How long shall I take R281 counsel in my soul, Having sorrow R282 in my heart all the day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? 3 Consider R283 and answer me, O LORD my God; Enlighten R284 my eyes, or I will sleep R285 the sleep of death, 4 And my enemy will say, R286 "I have overcome him," And my R287 adversaries will rejoice when I am shaken. 5 But I have trusted R288 in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice R289 in Your salvation. 6 I will sing R290 to the LORD, Because He has dealt R291 bountifully with me.

1 The fool has said R292 in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; F118 There is no R293 one who does good. 2 The LORD has looked R294 down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, R295 F119 Who seek R296 after God. 3 They have all turned R297 aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no R298 one who does good, not even one.

4 Do all the workers of wickedness not R299 know, Who eat R300 up my people as they eat bread, And do R301 not call upon the Lord? 5 There they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous R302 generation. 6 You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the LORD is his refuge. R303 7 Oh, that the R304 salvation of Israel would F120 come out of Zion! When the LORD restores R305 F121 His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.

1 O LORD, who may abide F122 in R306 Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy R307 hill? 2 He who walks R308 with integrity, and works righteousness, And speaks R309 truth in his heart. 3 He does R310 not slander with F123 his tongue, Nor does R311 evil to his neighbor, Nor takes R312 up a reproach against his friend; 4 In whose F124 eyes a reprobate is despised, But who F125 honors R313 those who fear the LORD; He swears R314 to his own hurt and does not change; 5 He does R315 not put out his money at F126 interest, Nor does R316 he take a bribe against the innocent. He R317 who does these things will never be shaken.

1 Preserve R318 me, O God, for I R319 take refuge in You. 2 I F127 said to the LORD, "You are my F128 Lord; I have R320 no good besides You." 3 As for the saints R321 F129 who are in the earth, They F130 are the majestic ones in R322 whom is all my delight. 4 The sorrows R323 F131 of those who have bartered F132 for another god will be multiplied; I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood, R324 Nor will I take R325 their names upon my lips. 5 The LORD is the portion R326 of my inheritance and my cup; R327 You support my lot. R328 6 The lines R329 have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful R330 to me. 7 I will bless the LORD who has counseled R331 me; Indeed, my mind R332 F133 instructs me in the night.

8 I R333 have set R334 the LORD continually before me; Because He is at R335 my right hand, I R336 will not be shaken. 9 Therefore my R337 heart is glad and my R338 glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell R339 securely. 10 For You will R340 not abandon my soul to Sheol; F134 Nor will You allow R341 F135 Your Holy F136 One to undergo F137 decay. 11 You will make known to me the R342 path of life; In Your R343 presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures R344 forever.

1 Hear a just R345 cause, O LORD, give R346 heed to my cry; Give R347 ear to my prayer, which is not from deceitful R348 lips. 2 Let my R349 judgment F138 come forth from Your presence; Let Your eyes look with equity. R350 3 You have tried R351 my heart; You have visited me by night; You have tested R352 me and You R353 find nothing; F139 I have purposed R354 that my mouth will not transgress. 4 As for the deeds of men, by R355 the word of Your lips I have kept from the paths R356 of the violent. 5 My steps R357 have held fast to Your paths. F140 My feet R358 have not slipped. 6 I have called R359 upon You, for You will answer me, O God; Incline R360 Your ear to me, hear my speech. 7 Wondrously R361 show Your lovingkindness, O Savior R362 of those who take refuge at F141 Your right hand From those who rise up against them.

8 Keep me as the F142 apple R363 of the eye; Hide me in R364 the shadow of Your wings 9 From the wicked R365 who despoil me, My deadly R366 enemies who surround me. 10 They have closed R367 their unfeeling F143 heart, With their mouth they speak R368 proudly. 11 They have now surrounded R369 us in our steps; They set their eyes to R370 cast us down to the ground. 12 He is like R371 a lion that is eager to tear, And as a young lion lurking R372 in hiding places. 13 Arise, R373 O LORD, confront him, bring R374 him low; Deliver R375 my soul from the wicked with Your R376 sword, 14 From men with Your R377 hand, O LORD, From men of F144 the world, whose R378 portion is in this life, And whose belly You fill R379 with Your treasure; They are satisfied with children, And leave their abundance to their babes. 15 As for me, I shall behold R380 Your face in righteousness; I R381 will be satisfied with F145 Your likeness R382 when I awake.

1 "I love You, O LORD, my R383 strength." 2 The LORD is my R384 rock F146 and my R385 fortress and my deliverer, R386 My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield R387 and the horn R388 of my salvation, my stronghold. R389 3 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy R390 to be praised, And I am saved R391 from my enemies. 4 The cords R392 of death encompassed me, And the torrents R393 of ungodliness F147 terrified F148 me. 5 The cords R394 of Sheol F149 surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. 6 In my distress R395 I called upon the LORD, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out R396 of His temple, And my cry R397 for help before Him came into His ears. 7 Then the earth R398 shook and quaked; And the foundations R399 of the mountains were trembling And were shaken, because He was angry. 8 Smoke went up out F150 of His nostrils, And fire R400 from His mouth devoured; Coals were kindled by it. 9 He bowed R401 the heavens also, and came down With thick darkness R402 under His feet. 10 He rode upon a cherub R403 and flew; And He sped upon the wings R404 of the wind. 11 He made darkness R405 His hiding place, His R406 canopy F151 around Him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies. 12 From the brightness R407 before Him passed His thick clouds, Hailstones and coals R408 of fire. 13 The LORD also thundered R409 in the heavens, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire. 14 He sent R410 out His arrows, and scattered them, And lightning flashes in abundance, and routed F152 them. 15 Then the channels R411 of water appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid F153 bare At Your rebuke, R412 O LORD, At the blast of the breath R413 of Your nostrils. 16 He sent R414 from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many R415 waters. 17 He delivered R416 me from my strong enemy, And from those who hated me, for they were too R417 mighty for me. 18 They confronted me in the R418 day of my calamity, But the R419 LORD was my stay. 19 He brought me forth also into a broad R420 place; He rescued me, because He R421 delighted in me.

20 The LORD has rewarded R422 me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness R423 of my hands He has recompensed me. 21 For I have kept R424 the ways of the LORD, And have not R425 wickedly departed from my God. 22 For all His R426 ordinances were before me, And I did not put away His statutes R427 from me. 23 I was also blameless R428 F154 with Him, And I kept R429 myself from my iniquity. 24 Therefore the LORD has recompensed R430 me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes. 25 With the R431 kind You show Yourself kind; With the blameless F155 You R432 show Yourself blameless; 26 With the pure You show Yourself pure, R433 And with the crooked You R434 show Yourself astute. F156 27 For You save R435 an afflicted people, But haughty R436 eyes You abase. 28 For You light R437 my lamp; The LORD my God illumines R438 my darkness.

29 For by You I can run R439 F157 upon a troop; And by my God I can leap R440 over a wall. 30 As for God, His way is blameless; R441 F158 The word R442 of the LORD is tried; He is a shield R443 to all who take refuge in Him. 31 For who R444 is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, R445 except our God, 32 The God who girds R446 me with strength And makes F159 my way blameless? R447 F160 33 He makes R448 my feet like hinds' feet, And sets R449 me upon my high places. 34 He trains R450 my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend R451 a bow of bronze. 35 You have also given me the R452 shield of Your salvation, And Your right R453 hand upholds me; And Your R454 gentleness F161 makes me great. 36 You enlarge R455 my steps under me, And my feet R456 F162 have not slipped. 37 I pursued R457 my enemies and overtook them, And I did not turn back until R458 they were consumed. 38 I shattered them, so that they were not R459 able to rise; They fell under R460 my feet. 39 For You have girded R461 me with strength for battle; You have subdued R462 F163 under me those who rose up against me. 40 You have also made my enemies turn R463 their backs to me, And I destroyed R464 F164 those who hated me. 41 They cried for help, but there was none R465 to save, Even to the LORD, but He R466 did not answer them. 42 Then I beat them fine as the dust R467 before the wind; I emptied them out as the mire of the streets. 43 You have delivered me from the contentions R468 of the people; You have placed me as head R469 of the nations; A people R470 whom I have not known serve me. 44 As soon as they hear, they obey me; Foreigners submit R471 F165 to me. 45 Foreigners fade R472 away, And come R473 trembling out of their fortresses. F166 46 The LORD lives, R474 and blessed be my R475 rock; And exalted be the R476 God of my salvation, 47 The God who executes R477 vengeance for me, And subdues R478 peoples under me. 48 He delivers R479 me from my enemies; Surely You lift R480 me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent R481 man. 49 Therefore I will give R482 thanks to You among the nations, O LORD, And I will sing R483 praises to Your name. 50 He gives great deliverance R484 F167 to His king, And shows lovingkindness to His R485 anointed, To David and his R486 descendants F168 forever.

1 The heavens R487 are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse R488 is declaring the work of His hands. 2 Day to day R489 pours forth speech, And night R490 to night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. 4 Their line R491 F169 has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed R492 a tent for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course. 6 Its rising R493 is from one F170 end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other F171 end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

7 The R494 law of the LORD is perfect, R495 F172 restoring R496 the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, R497 making wise R498 the simple. 8 The precepts of the LORD are right, R499 rejoicing R500 the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, R501 enlightening R502 the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true; R503 they are righteous R504 altogether. 10 They are more desirable than gold, R505 yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter R506 also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. 11 Moreover, by them Your R507 servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward. R508 12 Who can discern R509 his errors? Acquit R510 me of hidden R511 faults. 13 Also keep back Your servant from R512 presumptuous sins; Let them not rule R513 over me; Then I will be blameless, R514 F173 And I shall be acquitted of great R515 transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth and the R516 meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my R517 rock and my Redeemer. 1 May the LORD answer you in R519 the day of trouble! May the name R520 of the God R521 of Jacob set you securely on high! 2 May He send you help from R522 the sanctuary And support R523 you from Zion! 3 May He remember R524 all your meal offerings And find R525 your burnt offering acceptable! F174 Selah. F175 4 May He grant you your heart's R526 desire And fulfill R527 all your counsel! F176 5 We F177 will sing R528 for joy over your victory, F178 And in the name of our God we will set R529 up our banners. May the LORD fulfill R530 all your petitions.

6 Now I R531 know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer R532 him from His holy heaven With the saving R533 F179 strength of His right hand. 7 Some boast F180 in chariots and some in horses, R534 But we R535 will F181 boast in the name of the LORD, our God.
