120:1-7 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 In R4060 my trouble I cried to the LORD, And He answered me. 2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying R4061 lips, From a deceitful R4062 tongue. 3 What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, You deceitful R4063 tongue? 4 Sharp R4064 arrows of the warrior, With the burning coals R4065 of the broom tree.

5 Woe is me, for I sojourn in Meshech, R4066 For I dwell among the tents R4067 of Kedar! R4068 6 Too long has my soul had its dwelling With those who hate R4069 peace. 7 I am R4070 for peace, but when I speak, They are for R4071 war.

121:1-8 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 I will lift R4072 up my eyes to the R4073 mountains; From where shall my help come? 2 My help R4074 comes from the LORD, Who made R4075 heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow R4076 your foot to slip; He who keeps R4077 you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD is your keeper; R4078 The LORD is your shade R4079 on your right hand. 6 The sun R4080 will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD will protect R4081 F1395 you from all evil; He will keep your soul. 8 The LORD will guard R4082 F1396 your going out and your coming in From R4083 this time forth and forever.

122:1-9 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go R4084 to the house of the LORD." 2 Our feet are standing Within your gates, R4085 O Jerusalem, 3 Jerusalem, that is built R4086 As a city that is compact R4087 together; 4 To which the tribes go R4088 up, even the tribes of the F1397 LORD-- An F1398 ordinance for Israel-- To give thanks to the name of the LORD. 5 For there thrones R4089 were set for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for the peace R4090 of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love R4091 you. 7 "May peace be within your walls, R4092 And prosperity within your palaces." R4093 8 For the sake of my brothers R4094 and my friends, I will now say, "May R4095 peace be within you." 9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek R4096 your good.

123:1-4 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 To You I lift R4097 up my eyes, O You who are R4098 enthroned in the heavens! 2 Behold, as the eyes of servants R4099 look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes R4100 look to the LORD our God, Until He is gracious to us. 3 Be R4101 gracious to us, O LORD, be gracious to us, For we are greatly filled with R4102 contempt. 4 Our soul is greatly filled With the scoffing R4103 of those R4104 who are at ease, And with the contempt R4105 of the proud.

124:1-8 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 "Had R4106 it not been the LORD who was on our side," Let R4107 Israel now say, 2 "Had it not been the LORD who was on our side When men rose up against us, 3 Then they would have swallowed R4108 us alive, When their anger R4109 was kindled against us; 4 Then the waters R4110 would have engulfed us, The stream would have swept F1399 over our soul; 5 Then the raging R4111 waters would have swept F1400 over our soul."

6 Blessed be the LORD, Who has not given us to F1401 be torn R4112 by their teeth. 7 Our soul has escaped R4113 as R4114 a bird out of the snare R4115 of the trapper; The snare is broken and we have escaped. 8 Our help R4116 is in the name of the LORD, Who made R4117 heaven and earth.

125:1-5 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 Those who trust in the LORD Are as Mount Zion, which cannot R4118 be moved but abides R4119 forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the R4120 LORD surrounds His people From R4121 this time forth and forever. 3 For the scepter R4122 of wickedness shall not rest upon the land F1402 of the righteous, So that the righteous will R4123 not put forth their hands to do wrong.

4 Do R4124 good, O LORD, to those who are good And to those who are upright R4125 in their hearts. 5 But as for those who turn R4126 aside to their crooked R4127 ways, The LORD will lead them away with the doers R4128 of iniquity. Peace R4129 be upon Israel.

126:1-6 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 When the LORD brought R4130 back the F1403 captive ones of Zion, We were like R4131 those who dream. 2 Then our mouth R4132 was filled with laughter And our tongue R4133 with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done R4134 great things for them." 3 The LORD has done great things for us; We are glad. R4135

4 Restore our captivity, O LORD, As the streams R4136 F1404 in the South. F1405 5 Those who sow in tears R4137 shall reap with joyful R4138 shouting. 6 He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

127:1-5 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 Unless the LORD builds R4139 the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards R4140 the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire F1406 late, To eat R4141 the bread of painful F1407 labors; For He gives to His beloved R4142 even R4143 in his sleep. 3 Behold, children R4144 are a gift F1408 of the LORD, The fruit R4145 of the womb is a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, R4146 So are the children of one's youth. 5 How blessed R4147 is the man whose quiver is full of them; They R4148 will not be ashamed When they speak R4149 with their enemies in R4150 the gate.

128:1-6 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 How R4151 blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, Who walks R4152 in His ways. 2 When you shall eat R4153 of the fruit R4154 F1409 of your hands, You will be happy and it R4155 will be well with you. 3 Your wife shall be like a fruitful R4156 vine Within F1410 your house, Your children like olive R4157 plants Around your table. 4 Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the LORD. 5 The R4158 LORD bless you from R4159 Zion, And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. 6 Indeed, may you see your children's R4160 children. Peace R4161 be upon Israel!

129:1-8 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 "Many F1411 times they have persecuted R4162 F1412 me from my youth R4163 up," Let R4164 Israel now say, 2 "Many F1413 times they have persecuted F1414 me from my youth up; Yet they have not R4165 prevailed against me. 3 "The plowers plowed upon my back; They lengthened their furrows." 4 The LORD is R4166 righteous; He has cut in two the cords R4167 of the wicked.

5 May all who hate R4168 Zion Be put R4169 to shame and turned backward; 6 Let them be like grass R4170 upon the housetops, Which withers before it grows F1415 up; 7 With which the reaper does not fill his hand, F1416 Or the binder of sheaves his bosom; R4171 8 Nor do those who pass by say, "The blessing R4172 of the LORD be upon you; We bless you in the name of the LORD."

130:1-8 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 Out of the depths R4173 I have cried to You, O LORD. 2 Lord, hear R4174 my voice! Let Your R4175 ears be attentive To the voice R4176 of my supplications. 3 If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? R4177 4 But there is forgiveness R4178 with You, That You may be feared. R4179

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul R4180 does wait, And in R4181 F1418 His word do I hope. 6 My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for R4182 the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. 7 O Israel, hope R4183 in the LORD; For with the LORD there is lovingkindness, R4184 And with Him is abundant R4185 redemption. 8 And He will redeem R4186 Israel From all his iniquities.

131:1-3 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 O LORD, my heart is not proud, R4187 nor my eyes haughty; R4188 F1419 Nor do I involve F1420 myself in great R4189 matters, Or in things too R4190 difficult F1421 for me. 2 Surely I have composed R4191 and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child R4192 rests against F1422 his mother, My soul is like a weaned child within F1422 me. 3 O Israel, hope R4193 in the LORD From R4194 this time forth and forever.

132:1-18 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 Remember, O LORD, on David's behalf, All his R4195 affliction; 2 How he swore to the LORD And vowed to the R4196 Mighty One of Jacob, 3 "Surely I will not enter F1423 my R4197 house, Nor lie F1424 on my bed; 4 I will not give R4198 sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids, 5 Until I find a place R4199 for the LORD, A F1425 dwelling place for the R4200 Mighty One of Jacob." 6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah, R4201 We found it in the field R4202 of Jaar. F1426 7 Let us go into His dwelling R4203 F1427 place; Let us worship R4204 at His footstool. R4205 8 Arise, R4206 O LORD, to Your resting R4207 place, You and the ark of Your strength. R4208 9 Let Your priests be clothed R4209 with righteousness, And let Your godly R4210 ones sing for joy. 10 For the sake of David Your servant, Do not turn away the face of Your anointed. R4211

11 The LORD has sworn R4212 to David A truth from which He will not turn back: "Of R4213 the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne. 12 "If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I will teach them, Their sons also shall sit R4214 upon your throne forever." 13 For the LORD has chosen R4215 Zion; He has desired R4216 it for His habitation. 14 "This is My resting R4217 place forever; Here I will dwell, R4218 for I have desired it. 15 "I will abundantly bless R4219 her provision; I will satisfy R4220 her needy with bread. 16 "Her priests R4221 also I will clothe with salvation, And her godly R4221 ones will sing aloud for joy. 17 "There I will cause the horn R4222 of David to spring forth; I have prepared a lamp R4223 for Mine anointed. 18 "His enemies I will clothe R4224 with shame, But upon himself his crown R4225 shall shine."

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers R4226 to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil R4227 upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Even Aaron's beard, Coming down upon the edge R4228 of his robes. 3 It is like the dew R4229 of Hermon R4230 Coming down upon the mountains R4231 of Zion; For there the LORD commanded R4232 the blessing--life R4233 forever.

134:1-3 - Study Chapter  - Click for Chapter Audio

1 Behold, bless R4234 the LORD, all servants R4235 of the LORD, Who serve R4236 F1428 by R4237 night in the house of the LORD! 2 Lift R4238 up your hands to the sanctuary R4239 And bless the LORD. 3 May the LORD bless R4240 you from Zion, He who made R4241 heaven and earth.
