The God of Sinai and of the Sanctuary.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1 Let F644 God R1957 arise, let F645 His enemies be scattered,

And let F646 those who hate Him flee before Him.

2 As smoke R1958 is driven away, so drive them away;

As wax R1959 melts before the fire,

So let the wicked R1960 perish before God.

3 But let the righteous R1961 be glad; let them exult before God;

Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.

4 Sing to God, sing R1962 praises to His name;

Lift R1963 F647 up a song for Him who rides R1964 through the deserts,

Whose name R1965 is the F648 LORD, and exult before Him.

5 A father R1966 of the fatherless and a judge R1967 for F649 the widows,

Is God in His holy R1968 habitation.

6 God makes R1969 F650 a home for the lonely;

He leads R1970 out the prisoners into prosperity,

Only the R1971 rebellious dwell in a parched land.

7 O God, when You went R1972 forth before Your people,

When You marched R1973 through the wilderness, Selah. F651

8 The earth R1974 quaked;

The heavens R1975 also dropped rain at the presence of God;

Sinai R1976 F652 itself quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 You shed R1977 abroad a plentiful rain, O God;

You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched. F653

10 Your creatures settled in it;

You provided R1978 in Your goodness for the poor, O God.

11 The Lord gives the command; F654

The women R1979 who proclaim the good tidings are a great host:

12 "Kings R1980 of armies flee, they flee,

And she who remains at home will divide R1981 the spoil!"

13 When F655 you lie down among R1982 the sheepfolds, F656

You are like the wings of a dove covered with silver,

And its pinions with glistening gold.

14 When the Almighty scattered R1983 the kings there, F657

It was snowing in Zalmon. R1984

15 A mountain R1985 F658 of God is the mountain of Bashan;

A mountain of many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.

16 Why do you look with envy, O mountains with many peaks,

At the mountain which God has desired R1986 for His abode?

Surely the R1987 LORD will dwell there forever.

17 The chariots R1988 of God are myriads, F659 thousands R1989 upon thousands;

The F660 Lord is among them as at Sinai, in holiness.

18 You have ascended R1990 on high, You have led R1991 captive Your captives;

You have received gifts among men,

Even among the rebellious also, that the F661 LORD God may dwell there.

19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears R1992 our burden,

The R1993 God who is our salvation. Selah.

20 God is to us a God R1994 of deliverances;

And to R1995 GOD F662 the Lord belong escapes from F663 death.

21 Surely God will shatter R1996 the head of His enemies,

The hairy crown of him who goes on in his guilty deeds.

22 The Lord said, F664 "I R1997 will bring them back from Bashan.

I will bring them back from the depths of the sea;

23 That your R1998 F665 foot may shatter them in blood,

The tongue of your dogs R1999 may have its portion from your enemies."

24 They have seen Your R2000 procession, F666 O God,

The procession F666 of my God, my King, into R2001 F667 the sanctuary.

25 The singers R2002 went on, the musicians after them,

In F668 the midst of the maidens R2003 beating tambourines.

26 Bless R2004 God in the congregations,

Even the LORD, you who are of the fountain R2005 of Israel.

27 There is Benjamin, R2006 the youngest, F669 ruling F670 them,

The princes of Judah in their throng,

The princes of Zebulun, R2007 the princes of Naphtali.

28 Your F671 God has commanded R2008 your strength;

Show Yourself strong, O God, who R2009 have acted on F672 our behalf.

29 Because F673 of Your temple at Jerusalem

Kings R2010 will bring gifts to You.

30 Rebuke the beasts R2011 in F674 the reeds,

The herd of bulls R2012 with the calves of the peoples,

Trampling under foot the pieces of silver;

He has scattered R2013 the peoples who delight in war.

31 Envoys will come out of Egypt; R2014

Ethiopia R2015 F675 will quickly stretch out her hands to God.

32 Sing to God, O kingdoms R2016 of the earth,

Sing R2017 praises to the Lord, Selah.

33 To Him who rides R2018 upon the highest R2019 F676 heavens, which are from ancient times;

Behold, He R2020 speaks F677 forth with His voice, a mighty R2021 voice.

34 Ascribe R2022 strength to God;

His majesty is over Israel

And His R2023 strength is in the skies. F678

35 O F679 God, You are awesome R2024 from Your sanctuary. F680

The God of Israel Himself gives R2025 strength and power to the people.

Blessed R2026 be God!
