1 Chronicles 16:7-36 [ Verse 25 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
7 Then on that day David delivered (8804) first this psalm to thank (8687) the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. 8 Give thanks (8685) unto the LORD, call (8798) upon his name, make known (8685) his deeds among the people. 9 Sing (8798) unto him, sing psalms (8761) unto him, talk (8798) ye of all his wondrous (8737) works. 10 Glory (8690) ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice (8799) that seek (8764) the LORD. 11 Seek (8798) the LORD and his strength, seek (8761) his face continually. 12 Remember (8798) his marvellous (8737) works that he hath done (8804), his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; 13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. 14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. 15 Be ye mindful (8798) always of his covenant; the word which he commanded (8765) to a thousand generations; 16 Even of the covenant which he made (8804) with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; 17 And hath confirmed (8686) the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, 18 Saying (8800), Unto thee will I give (8799) the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance; 19 When ye were but few *, even a few, and strangers (8802) in it. 20 And when they went (8691) from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people; 21 He suffered (8689) no man to do them wrong (8800): yea, he reproved (8686) kings for their sakes, 22 Saying, Touch (8799) not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm (8686). 23 Sing (8798) unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth (8761) from day to day his salvation. 24 Declare (8761) his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works (8737) among all nations. 25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised (8794): he also is to be feared (8737) above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made (8804) the heavens. 27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. 28 Give (8798) unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give (8798) unto the LORD glory and strength. 29 Give (8798) unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring (8798) an offering, and come (8798) before him: worship (8690) the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 30 Fear (8798) before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable (8735), that it be not moved (8735). 31 Let the heavens be glad (8799), and let the earth rejoice (8799): and let men say (8799) among the nations, The LORD reigneth (8804). 32 Let the sea roar (8799), and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice (8799), and all that is therein. 33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out (8762) at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh (8804) to judge (8800) the earth. 34 O give thanks (8685) unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. 35 And say (8798) ye, Save (8685) us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together (8761), and deliver (8685) us from the heathen, that we may give thanks (8687) to thy holy name, and glory (8692) in thy praise. 36 Blessed (8803) be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said (8799), Amen, and praised (8763) the LORD.
