Instructions and Greetings

1 Now concerning the R676 collection for the R677 saints, as I R678 directed the churches of Galatia, R679 so do you also. 2 On the R680 first day of every week each one of you is to put F187 aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no R681 collections be made when I come. 3 When I arrive, whomever R682 you may approve, I will send them with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem; 4 and if it is fitting for me to go also, they will go with me.

5 But I will R683 come to you after I go through Macedonia, R684 for I am R685 going through Macedonia; 6 and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you may send R686 me on my way wherever I may go. 7 For I do not wish to see you now just R687 in passing; for I hope to remain with you for some time, if R688 the Lord permits. 8 But I will remain in Ephesus R689 until Pentecost; R690 9 for a wide R691 door for F188 effective service has opened to me, and there R692 are many adversaries.

10 Now if Timothy R693 comes, see that he is with you without cause F189 to be afraid, for he is doing the R694 Lord's work, as I also am. 11 So R695 let no one despise him. But send R696 him on his way in R697 peace, so that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.

12 But concerning Apollos R698 our brother, I encouraged him greatly to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his desire to come now, but he will come when he has opportunity.

13 Be R699 on the alert, stand R700 firm in the faith, act R701 like men, be R702 strong. 14 Let all that you do be done in R703 love.

15 Now I urge you, brethren (you know the household R704 of Stephanas, that they F190 were the first R705 fruits of Achaia, R706 and that they have devoted themselves for ministry R707 to the R708 saints), 16 that you R709 also be in subjection to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors. 17 I rejoice over the coming R710 F191 of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied F192 what R711 was lacking on your part. 18 For they have R712 refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge R713 such men.

19 The churches of Asia R714 greet you. Aquila R715 and Prisca greet you heartily in the Lord, with the R716 church that is in their house. 20 All the brethren greet you. Greet R717 one another with a holy kiss.

21 The greeting is in my R718 own hand--Paul. F193 22 If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed. R719 F194 Maranatha. R720 F195 23 The R721 grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
