Then Nahash the Ammonite came up (8799), and encamped (8799) against Jabeshgilead *: and all the men of Jabesh said (8799) unto Nahash, Make (8798) a covenant with us, and we will serve (8799) thee.

And Nahash the Ammonite answered (8799) them, On this condition will I make (8799) a covenant with you, that I may thrust out (8800) all your right eyes, and lay (8804) it for a reproach upon all Israel.

And the fear of the LORD fell (8799) on the people, and they came out (8799) with one consent.
