[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
21 Then said (8799) Saul, I have sinned (8804): return (8798), my son David: for I will no more do thee harm (8686), because my soul was precious (8804) in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool (8689), and have erred (8799) exceedingly * (8687). 22 And David answered (8799) and said (8799), Behold the king's spear! and let one of the young men come over (8799) and fetch (8799) it. 23 The LORD render (8686) to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness: for the LORD delivered (8804) thee into my hand to day, but I would (8804) not stretch forth (8800) mine hand against the LORD'S anointed. 24 And, behold, as thy life was much set by (8804) this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by (8799) in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver (8686) me out of all tribulation. 25 Then Saul said (8799) to David, Blessed (8803) be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do (8799) great (8800) things, and also shalt still (8800) prevail (8799). So David went (8799) on his way, and Saul returned (8804) to his place.
