1 Samuel 26:1-5 [ Verse 5 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 And the Ziphites came (8799) unto Saul to Gibeah, saying (8800), Doth not David hide (8693) himself in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon? 2 Then Saul arose (8799), and went down (8799) to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen (8803) men of Israel with him, to seek (8763) David in the wilderness of Ziph. 3 And Saul pitched (8799) in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon, by the way. But David abode (8802) in the wilderness, and he saw (8799) that Saul came (8804) after him into the wilderness. 4 David therefore sent out (8799) spies (8764), and understood (8799) that Saul was come (8804) in very deed (8737). 5 And David arose (8799), and came (8799) to the place where Saul had pitched (8804): and David beheld (8799) the place where Saul lay (8804), and Abner the son of Ner, the captain of his host: and Saul lay (8802) in the trench, and the people pitched (8802) round about him.
