And David said (8799) in his heart, I shall now perish (8735) one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily (8736) escape (8735) into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair (8738) of me, to seek (8763) me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape (8738) out of his hand.

And David arose (8799), and he passed over (8799) with the six hundred men that were with him unto Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.
