For he R648 rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he R649 erected altars for Baal and made an Asherah, F287 as Ahab king of Israel had done, and worshiped R650 all the host of heaven and served them.

Then he R657 set the carved image of Asherah that he had made, in the house of which the LORD said to David and to his son Solomon, "In R658 this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever.

He also broke down the houses of the male R712 cult prostitutes which were in the house of the LORD, where the R713 women were weaving hangings F298 for the Asherah.
