2 Corinthians 2:5-11 [ Verse 6 in Original: Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
5 But if any have caused grief (5758), he hath not grieved (5758) me, but in part: that I may not overcharge (5725) you all. 6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. 7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive (5664) him, and comfort (5658) him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up (5686) with overmuch sorrow. 8 Wherefore I beseech (5719) you that ye would confirm (5658) your love toward him. 9 For to this end also did I write (5656), that I might know (5632) the proof of you, whether ye be (5748) obedient in all things. 10 To whom ye forgive (5736) any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave (5766) any thing, to whom I forgave (5766) it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us (5686): for we are not ignorant (5719) of his devices.
