Their Ministry Commended

1 And working R195 together with Him, we R196 also urge you not to receive the R197 grace of God in vain-- 2 for He says, "AT R198 THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION"-- 3 giving R199 no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, 4 but in everything commending R200 ourselves as servants R201 F37 of God, in R202 much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, 5 in beatings, R203 in imprisonments, in tumults, R204 in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger, R205 6 in purity, in knowledge, R206 in patience, R207 in kindness, in the Holy R208 Spirit, in genuine R209 love, 7 in the R210 word of truth, in the R211 power of God; by the R212 weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, 8 by glory and dishonor, R213 by evil R214 report and good report; regarded as deceivers R215 and yet true; R216 9 as unknown yet F38 well-known, as dying R217 yet F38 behold, we R218 live; as punished F39 yet F38 not put to death, 10 as sorrowful R219 yet always rejoicing, R219 as poor R220 yet making many rich, as having R221 nothing yet F40 possessing all R222 things.

11 Our R223 mouth has F41 spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our heart R224 is opened wide. 12 You are not restrained by F42 us, but you R225 are restrained in your own affections. F43 13 Now in a like exchange--I R226 speak as to children--open R227 wide to us also.

14 Do R228 not be bound F44 together with unbelievers; R229 for what partnership R230 have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 Or what harmony R231 has Christ with Belial, F45 or what F46 has a believer R232 in common with an unbeliever? R233 16 Or what R234 agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the R235 temple of the R236 living God; just as God said, "I R237 WILL DWELL R238 IN THEM AND WALK R239 AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

17 "Therefore, R240 COME R241 OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord.

"AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN;

And I will welcome you.

18 "And R242 I will be a father to you,

And you shall be sons R243 and daughters to Me,"

Says the Lord Almighty.
