2 Samuel 8:9-14 [ Verse 11 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
9 Now when Toi king of Hamath R233 heard that David had defeated F84 all the army of Hadadezer, 10 Toi sent Joram F85 his son to King David to greet F86 him and bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and defeated F87 him; for Hadadezer had F88 been at war with Toi. And Joram F89 brought with him articles of silver, of gold and of bronze. 11 King David also dedicated R234 these to the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated from all the nations which he had subdued: 12 from Aram F90 and Moab R235 and the R236 sons of Ammon and the R237 Philistines and Amalek, R238 and from the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah. 13 So David R239 made a name for himself when he returned from killing F91 18,000 Arameans F92 in the R240 Valley of Salt. 14 He put garrisons in Edom. In all Edom he put garrisons, and all R241 the Edomites became servants to David. And the R242 LORD helped David wherever he went.
