- 10 And, behold, an hand touched (8804) me, which set (8686) me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. 11 And he said (8799) unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand (8685) the words that I speak (8802) unto thee, and stand (8798) upright: for unto thee am I now sent (8795). And when he had spoken (8763) this word unto me, I stood (8804) trembling (8688). 12 Then said (8799) he unto me, Fear (8799) not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set (8804) thine heart to understand (8687), and to chasten (8692) thyself before thy God, thy words were heard (8738), and I am come (8804) for thy words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood (8802) me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came (8804) to help (8800) me; and I remained (8738) there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I am come (8804) to make thee understand (8687) what shall befall (8799) thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. 15 And when he had spoken (8763) such words unto me, I set (8804) my face toward the ground, and I became dumb (8738). 16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched (8802) my lips: then I opened (8799) my mouth, and spake (8762), and said (8799) unto him that stood (8802) before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned (8738) upon me, and I have retained (8804) no strength. 17 For how can (8799) the servant of this my lord talk (8763) with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained (8799) no strength in me, neither is there breath left (8738) in me. 18 Then there came again (8686) and touched (8799) me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened (8762) me, 19 And said (8799), O man greatly beloved, fear (8799) not: peace be unto thee, be strong (8798), yea, be strong (8798). And when he had spoken (8763) unto me, I was strengthened (8694), and said (8799), Let my lord speak (8762); for thou hast strengthened (8765) me. 20 Then said (8799) he, Knowest (8804) thou wherefore I come (8804) unto thee? and now will I return (8799) to fight (8736) with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth (8802), lo, the prince of Grecia shall come (8804). 21 But I will shew (8686) thee that which is noted (8803) in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth (8693) with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
