Daniel 7:1-8 [ Verse 4 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had (8754) a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote (8754) the dream, and told (8754) the sum of the matters. 2 Daniel spake (8750) and said (8750), I saw * (8751) (8754) in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove (8683) upon the great sea. 3 And four great beasts came up (8751) from the sea, diverse (8750) one from another. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld * (8754) (8751) till the wings thereof were plucked (8760), and it was lifted up (8760) from the earth, and made stand (8717) upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given (8753) to it. 5 And behold another beast, a second, like (8751) to a bear, and it raised up (8684) itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said (8750) thus unto it, Arise (8747), devour (8747) much flesh. 6 After this I beheld * (8754) (8751), and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given (8753) to it. 7 After this I saw * (8754) (8751) in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful (8753) and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured (8750) and brake in pieces (8683), and stamped (8751) the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse (8743) from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 8 I considered * (8754) (8723) the horns, and, behold, there came up (8754) among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots (8725): and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking (8743) great things.
