Deuteronomy 25:13-19 [ Verse 17 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights *, a great and a small. 14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures *, a great and a small. 15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened (8686) in the land which the LORD thy God giveth (8802) thee. 16 For all that do (8802) such things, and all that do (8802) unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God. 17 Remember (8800) what Amalek did (8804) unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth (8800) out of Egypt; 18 How he met (8804) thee by the way, and smote the hindmost (8762) of thee, even all that were feeble (8737) behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God. 19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest (8687) from all thine enemies (8802) round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth (8802) thee for an inheritance to possess (8800) it, that thou shalt blot out (8799) the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget (8799) it.
