Deuteronomy 27:1-10 [ Verse 3 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded (8762) the people, saying (8800), Keep (8800) all the commandments which I command (8764) you this day. 2 And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over (8799) Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth (8802) thee, that thou shalt set thee up (8689) great stones, and plaister (8804) them with plaister: 3 And thou shalt write (8804) upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over (8800), that thou mayest go in (8799) unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth (8802) thee, a land that floweth (8802) with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised (8765) thee. 4 Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over (8800) Jordan, that ye shall set up (8686) these stones, which I command (8764) you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister (8804). 5 And there shalt thou build (8804) an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up (8686) any iron tool upon them. 6 Thou shalt build (8799) the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer (8689) burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God: 7 And thou shalt offer (8804) peace offerings, and shalt eat (8804) there, and rejoice (8804) before the LORD thy God. 8 And thou shalt write (8804) upon the stones all the words of this law very (8687) plainly (8761). 9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spake (8762) unto all Israel, saying (8800), Take heed (8685), and hearken (8798), O Israel; this day thou art become (8738) the people of the LORD thy God. 10 Thou shalt therefore obey (8804) the voice of the LORD thy God, and do (8804) his commandments and his statutes, which I command (8764) thee this day.
