These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded (8765) Moses to make (8800) with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made (8804) with them in Horeb.

Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away (8802) this day from the LORD our God, to go (8800) and serve (8800) the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth (8802) gall and wormwood;

And it come to pass, when he heareth (8800) the words of this curse, that he bless (8694) himself in his heart, saying (8800), I shall have peace, though I walk (8799) in the imagination of mine heart, to add (8800) drunkenness to thirst:

The LORD will (8799) not spare (8800) him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke (8799) against that man, and all the curses that are written (8803) in this book shall lie (8804) upon him, and the LORD shall blot out (8804) his name from under heaven.
