- 4 And the king said (8799), Who is in the court? Now Haman was come (8804) into the outward court of the king's house, to speak (8800) unto the king to hang (8800) Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared (8689) for him. 5 And the king's servants said (8799) unto him, Behold, Haman standeth (8802) in the court. And the king said (8799), Let him come in (8799). 6 So Haman came in (8799). And the king said (8799) unto him, What shall be done (8800) unto the man whom the king delighteth (8804) to honour? Now Haman thought (8799) in his heart, To whom would the king delight (8799) to do (8800) honour more than to myself? 7 And Haman answered (8799) the king, For the man whom the king delighteth (8804) to honour, 8 Let the royal apparel be brought (8686) which the king useth to wear (8804), and the horse that the king rideth (8804) upon, and the crown royal which is set (8738) upon his head: 9 And let this apparel and horse be delivered (8800) to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array (8689) the man withal whom the king delighteth (8804) to honour, and bring (8689) him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim (8804) before him, Thus shall it be done (8735) to the man whom the king delighteth (8804) to honour. 10 Then the king said (8799) to Haman, Make haste (8761), and take (8798) the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said (8765), and do (8798) even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth (8802) at the king's gate: let nothing fail (8686) of all that thou hast spoken (8765). 11 Then took (8799) Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed (8686) Mordecai, and brought him on horseback (8686) through the street of the city, and proclaimed (8799) before him, Thus shall it be done (8735) unto the man whom the king delighteth (8804) to honour.
