Exodus 14:21-31 [ Verse 28 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
21 Then R455 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD swept F292 the sea back by a strong east wind all night and turned the sea into dry R456 land, so the R457 waters were divided. 22 The R458 sons of Israel went F293 through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and the R459 waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. 23 Then the R460 Egyptians took up the pursuit, and all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots and his horsemen went in after them into the midst of the sea. 24 At the morning watch, the R461 LORD looked down on the army F294 of the Egyptians through F295 the pillar of fire and cloud and brought the army F294 of the Egyptians into confusion. 25 He caused F296 their chariot wheels to swerve, and He made them drive with difficulty; so the Egyptians said, "Let us F297 flee from Israel, for R462 the LORD is fighting for them against the Egyptians." 26 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch R463 out your hand over the sea so that the waters may come back over the Egyptians, over their chariots and their horsemen." 27 So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the R464 sea returned to its normal state at daybreak, while the Egyptians were fleeing right F298 into it; then the LORD overthrew R465 F299 the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. 28 The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even F300 Pharaoh's entire army that had gone into the sea after them; not R466 even one of them remained. 29 But the sons of Israel walked on dry R467 land through the midst of the sea, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. 30 Thus R468 the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw R469 the Egyptians dead on the seashore. 31 When Israel saw the great power F301 which the LORD had used F302 against the Egyptians, the people feared F303 the LORD, and they R470 believed in the LORD and in His servant Moses.
