- 1 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay R554 aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run R555 with endurance R556 the race that is set before us, 2 fixing F140 our eyes on Jesus, the author R557 F141 and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured R558 the cross, despising R559 the shame, and has sat R560 down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider R561 Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and R562 F142 lose heart.
