Hosea 12:1-6 [ Verse 6 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 Ephraim feedeth (8802) on wind, and followeth (8802) after the east wind: he daily increaseth (8686) lies and desolation; and they do make (8799) a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried (8714) into Egypt. 2 The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish (8800) Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense (8686) him. 3 He took his brother by the heel (8804) in the womb, and by his strength he had power (8804) with God: 4 Yea, he had power (8799) over the angel, and prevailed (8799): he wept (8804), and made supplication (8691) unto him: he found (8799) him in Bethel, and there he spake (8762) with us; 5 Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial. 6 Therefore turn (8799) thou to thy God: keep (8798) mercy and judgment, and wait (8761) on thy God continually.
