Hosea 12:7-14 [ Verse 8 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
7 He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth (8804) to oppress (8800). 8 And Ephraim said (8799), Yet I am become rich (8804), I have found me out (8804) substance: in all my labours they shall find (8799) none iniquity in me that were sin. 9 And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell (8686) in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast. 10 I have also spoken (8765) by the prophets, and I have multiplied (8689) visions, and used similitudes (8762), by the ministry of the prophets. 11 Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice (8765) bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields. 12 And Jacob fled (8799) into the country of Syria, and Israel served (8799) for a wife, and for a wife he kept (8804) sheep. 13 And by a prophet the LORD brought (8689) Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved (8738). 14 Ephraim provoked him to anger (8689) most bitterly: therefore shall he leave (8799) his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return (8686) unto him.
