Isaiah 17:9-11 [ Verse 11 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
9 In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken (8803) bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left (8804) because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation. 10 Because thou hast forgotten (8804) the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful (8804) of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant (8799) pleasant plants, and shalt set (8799) it with strange (8801) slips: 11 In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow (8770), and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish (8686): but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief (8737) and of desperate (8803) sorrow.
