Isaiah 32:1-8 [ Verse 3 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 Behold, a king R1172 will reign righteously And princes will rule justly. 2 Each will be like a refuge R1173 from the wind And a shelter from the storm, Like streams R1174 F468 of water in a dry country, Like the shade R1173 of a huge F469 rock in a F470 parched land. 3 Then the R1175 eyes of those who see will not be blinded, F471 And the ears of those who hear will listen. 4 The mind F472 of the hasty R1176 will discern the truth, F473 And the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak clearly. 5 No longer will the fool R1177 be called noble, Or the rogue be spoken of as generous. 6 For a fool speaks nonsense, And his heart inclines R1178 F474 toward wickedness: To practice ungodliness R1179 and to speak error against the LORD, To keep R1180 F475 the hungry person unsatisfied And to F476 withhold drink from the thirsty. 7 As for a rogue, his weapons are evil; He devises R1181 wicked schemes To destroy R1182 the afflicted with slander, F477 Even R1183 though the needy one speaks what F478 is right. 8 But the R1184 noble man devises noble plans; And by noble plans he stands.
