Isaiah 64:6-12 [ Verse 7 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
6 For all of us have become like one who is unclean, R2645 And all our righteous R2646 deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither R2647 like a leaf, And our iniquities, R2648 like the wind, take us away. 7 There is no R2649 one who calls on Your name, Who arouses himself to take hold of You; For You have hidden R2650 Your face from us And have delivered F850 us into the power of our iniquities. 8 But now, O LORD, You R2651 are our Father, We are the clay, R2652 and You our potter; And all of us are the work R2653 of Your hand. 9 Do not be angry R2654 beyond measure, O LORD, Nor R2655 remember iniquity forever; Behold, look now, all of us are Your R2656 people. 10 Your holy R2657 cities have become a wilderness, R2658 Zion has become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. 11 Our holy and beautiful house, R2659 Where our fathers praised You, Has been burned by fire; And all R2660 our precious things have become a ruin. 12 Will You restrain R2661 Yourself at these things, O LORD? Will You keep silent and afflict us beyond measure?
