Isaiah 65:11-16 [ Verse 14 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
11 "But you who forsake R2686 the LORD, Who forget My holy R2687 mountain, Who set a table for Fortune, F856 And who fill cups with mixed wine for Destiny, F857 12 I will destine you for the sword, R2688 And all of you will bow down to the slaughter. R2689 Because I called, but you did R2690 not answer; I spoke, but you did not hear. And you did evil in My sight And chose that in which I did not delight." 13 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, My servants will eat, R2691 but you will be hungry. R2692 Behold, My servants will drink, R2693 but you will be thirsty. R2694 Behold, My servants will rejoice, R2695 but you will be put R2696 to shame. 14 "Behold, My servants will shout R2697 joyfully with a glad heart, But you will cry R2698 out with a heavy F859 heart, And you will wail with a broken spirit. 15 "You will leave your name for a curse R2699 to My chosen ones, And the Lord GOD will slay you. But My F861 servants will be called by another R2700 name. 16 "Because he who is F862 blessed in the earth Will be F862 blessed by the God R2701 of truth; And he who swears in the earth Will swear R2702 by the God of truth; Because the former troubles are forgotten, And because they are hidden from My sight!
