Jeremiah 13:22-27 [ Verse 27 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
22 And if thou say (8799) in thine heart, Wherefore come (8804) these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered (8738), and thy heels made bare (8738). 23 Can the Ethiopian change (8799) his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may (8799) ye also do good (8687), that are accustomed to do evil (8687). 24 Therefore will I scatter (8686) them as the stubble that passeth away (8802) by the wind of the wilderness. 25 This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith (8803) the LORD; because thou hast forgotten (8804) me, and trusted (8799) in falsehood. 26 Therefore will I discover (8804) thy skirts upon thy face, that thy shame may appear (8738). 27 I have seen (8804) thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean (8799)? when shall it once be?
