Job 7:17-21 [ Verse 18 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
17 What is man, that thou shouldest magnify (8762) him? and that thou shouldest set (8799) thine heart upon him? 18 And that thou shouldest visit (8799) him every morning, and try (8799) him every moment? 19 How long wilt thou not depart (8799) from me, nor let me alone (8686) till I swallow down (8800) my spittle? 20 I have sinned (8804); what shall I do (8799) unto thee, O thou preserver (8802) of men? why hast thou set (8804) me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself? 21 And why dost thou not pardon (8799) my transgression, and take away (8686) mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep (8799) in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning (8765), but I shall not be.
