Joel 3:9-17 [ Verse 17 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
9 Proclaim R137 this among the nations: Prepare R138 a war; rouse R139 the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up! 10 Beat R140 your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let R141 the weak say, "I am a mighty man." 11 Hasten R142 F34 and come, all you surrounding nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, O LORD, Your mighty R143 ones. 12 Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley R144 of Jehoshaphat, F35 For there I will sit to judge R145 All the surrounding nations. 13 Put R146 in the sickle, for the harvest R147 is ripe. Come, tread, R148 for the wine R149 press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness R150 is great. 14 Multitudes, R151 multitudes in the valley R152 of decision! F36 For the day R153 of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. F36 15 The sun R154 and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness. 16 The LORD roars R155 from Zion And utters R156 His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens R157 and the earth tremble. But the LORD is a refuge R158 for His people And a stronghold R159 to the sons of Israel. 17 Then you will know R160 that I am the LORD your God, Dwelling in Zion, My holy R161 mountain. So Jerusalem will be holy, R162 And strangers R163 will pass through it no more.
