Leviticus 10:12-20 [ Verse 12 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
12 And Moses spake (8762) unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left (8737), Take (8798) the meat offering that remaineth (8737) of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat (8798) it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy: 13 And ye shall eat (8804) it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded (8795). 14 And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat (8799) in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given (8738) out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel. 15 The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring (8686) with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave (8687) it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded (8765). 16 And Moses diligently (8800) sought (8804) the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt (8795): and he was angry (8799) with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left (8737) alive, saying (8800), 17 Wherefore have ye not eaten (8804) the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given (8804) it you to bear (8800) the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement (8763) for them before the LORD? 18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought (8717) in within the holy place: ye should indeed (8800) have eaten (8799) it in the holy place, as I commanded (8765). 19 And Aaron said (8762) unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered (8689) their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen (8799) me: and if I had eaten (8804) the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted (8799) in the sight of the LORD? 20 And when Moses heard (8799) that, he was content * (8799).
