Luke 13:6-9 [ Verse 6 in Original: Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
6 He spake (5707) also this parable; A certain man had (5707) a fig tree planted (5772) in his vineyard; and he came (5627) and sought (5723) fruit thereon *, and found (5627) none. 7 Then said he (5627) unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold (5628), these three years I come (5736) seeking (5723) fruit on this fig tree, and find (5719) none: cut it down (5657); why * * cumbereth (5719) it the ground? 8 And he answering (5679) said (5719) unto him, Lord, let it alone (5628) this year also, till I shall dig (5661) about it, and dung * (5632) it: 9 And if it bear (5661) fruit, well: and if not, then after that * (5723) thou shalt cut it down (5692).
