[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
44 It R1016 was now about the R1017 F505 sixth hour, and darkness fell F506 over the whole land until the F507 ninth hour, 45 because F508 the sun was obscured; and the R1018 veil of the temple was torn in F509 two. 46 And Jesus, crying R1019 out with a loud voice, said, "Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT." Having said this, He breathed His last. 47 Now R1021 when the centurion saw what had happened, he began praising R1022 God, saying, "Certainly this man was innocent." F510 48 And all the crowds who came together for this spectacle, when they observed what had happened, began to return, beating R1023 F511 their breasts. 49 And R1024 all His acquaintances and the R1024 women who accompanied Him from Galilee were standing at a distance, seeing these things.
