Micah 2:1-5 [ Verse 4 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 Woe to them that devise (8802) iniquity, and work (8802) evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise (8799) it, because it is in the power of their hand. 2 And they covet (8804) fields, and take them by violence (8804); and houses, and take them away (8804): so they oppress (8804) a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. 3 Therefore thus saith (8804) the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise (8802) an evil, from which ye shall not remove (8686) your necks; neither shall ye go (8799) haughtily: for this time is evil. 4 In that day shall one take up (8799) a parable against you, and lament (8804) with a doleful lamentation, and say (8804), We be utterly (8800) spoiled (8738): he hath changed (8686) the portion of my people: how hath he removed (8686) it from me! turning away (8788) he hath divided (8762) our fields. 5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast (8688) a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.
