Micah 7:14-20 [ Verse 17 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
14 Feed (8798) thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell (8802) solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed (8799) in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. 15 According to the days of thy coming (8800) out of the land of Egypt will I shew (8686) unto him marvellous (8737) things. 16 The nations shall see (8799) and be confounded (8799) at all their might: they shall lay (8799) their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf (8799). 17 They shall lick (8762) the dust like a serpent, they shall move (8799) out of their holes like worms (8801) of the earth: they shall be afraid (8799) of the LORD our God, and shall fear (8799) because of thee. 18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth (8802) iniquity, and passeth by (8802) the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth (8689) not his anger for ever, because he delighteth (8804) in mercy. 19 He will turn again (8799), he will have compassion (8762) upon us; he will subdue (8799) our iniquities; and thou wilt cast (8686) all their sins into the depths of the sea. 20 Thou wilt perform (8799) the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn (8738) unto our fathers from the days of old.
