Numbers 14:20-35 [ Verse 20 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
20 And the LORD said (8799), I have pardoned (8804) according to thy word: 21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled (8735) with the glory of the LORD. 22 Because all those men which have seen (8802) my glory, and my miracles, which I did (8804) in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted * (8762) me now these ten times, and have not hearkened (8804) to my voice; 23 Surely they shall not see (8799) the land which I sware (8738) unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked (8764) me see (8799) it: 24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully (8762), him will I bring (8689) into the land whereinto he went (8804); and his seed shall possess (8686) it. 25 (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt (8802) in the valley.) To morrow turn (8798) you, and get (8798) you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea. 26 And the LORD spake (8762) unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying (8800), 27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur (8688) against me? I have heard (8804) the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur (8688) against me. 28 Say (8798) unto them, As truly as I live, saith (8803) the LORD, as ye have spoken (8765) in mine ears, so will I do (8799) to you: 29 Your carcases shall fall (8799) in this wilderness; and all that were numbered (8803) of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured (8689) against me, 30 Doubtless ye shall not come (8799) into the land, concerning which I sware * (8804) to make you dwell (8763) therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. 31 But your little ones, which ye said (8804) should be a prey, them will I bring in (8689), and they shall know (8804) the land which ye have despised (8804). 32 But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall (8799) in this wilderness. 33 And your children shall wander (8802) in the wilderness forty years, and bear (8804) your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted (8800) in the wilderness. 34 After the number of the days in which ye searched (8804) the land, even forty days, each day for a year * *, shall ye bear (8799) your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know (8804) my breach of promise. 35 I the LORD have said (8765), I will surely * * do (8799) it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together (8737) against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed (8735), and there they shall die (8799).
