The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.

1 How blessed is the man who does R1 not walk in the counsel R2 of the wicked,

Nor stand in the path R3 F1 of sinners,

Nor sit R4 in the seat of scoffers!

2 But his delight R5 is in R6 the law of the LORD,

And in His law he meditates day R7 and night. R8

3 He will be like a R9 tree firmly planted by streams F2 of water,

Which yields its fruit in its season

And its leaf F3 does not wither;

And in F4 whatever he does, he R10 prospers.

4 The wicked are not so,

But they are like chaff R11 which the wind drives away.

5 Therefore the R12 wicked will not stand in the judgment, R13

Nor sinners in the R14 assembly of the righteous.

6 For the LORD knows R15 F5 the way of the righteous,

But the way of the R16 wicked will perish.
