Psalm 116:1-9 [ Verse 4 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 I love (8804) the LORD, because he hath heard (8799) my voice and my supplications. 2 Because he hath inclined (8689) his ear unto me, therefore will I call (8799) upon him as long as I live. 3 The sorrows of death compassed (8804) me, and the pains of hell gat hold (8804) upon me: I found (8799) trouble and sorrow. 4 Then called (8799) I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver (8761) my soul. 5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful (8764). 6 The LORD preserveth (8802) the simple: I was brought low (8804), and he helped (8686) me. 7 Return (8798) unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully (8804) with thee. 8 For thou hast delivered (8765) my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. 9 I will walk (8691) before the LORD in the land of the living.
