Praise for Deliverance.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

1 O LORD, in Your strength the king will be R540 glad,

And in Your salvation F183 how greatly he will rejoice!

2 You have given R541 him his heart's desire,

And You have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah. F184

3 For You meet R542 him with the blessings of good things;

You set a crown R543 of fine gold on his head.

4 He asked life of You,

You gave R544 it to him,

Length R545 of days forever and ever.

5 His glory R546 is great through Your salvation, F185

Splendor R547 and majesty You place upon him.

6 For You make him most F186 blessed R548 forever;

You make him joyful with R549 gladness in Your presence.

7 For the king trusts R550 in the LORD,

And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he R551 will not be shaken.

8 Your hand will find R552 out all your enemies;

Your right hand will find out those who hate you.

9 You will make them as R553 a fiery oven in the time of F187 your anger;

The LORD will swallow R554 them up in His wrath,

And fire R555 will devour them.

10 Their offspring F188 You will destroy from the earth,

And their descendants R556 F189 from among the sons of men.

11 Though they intended R557 F190 evil against You

And devised R558 a plot,

They will not succeed.

12 For You will make R559 them turn their back;

You will aim F191 with R560 Your bowstrings at their faces.

13 Be exalted, O LORD, in Your strength;

We will sing R561 and praise Your power.
