Psalm 22:1-10 [ Verse 5 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 <Musician (8764) upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David.] My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken (8804) me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 2 O my God, I cry (8799) in the daytime, but thou hearest (8799) not; and in the night season, and am not silent. 3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest (8802) the praises of Israel. 4 Our fathers trusted (8804) in thee: they trusted (8804), and thou didst deliver (8762) them. 5 They cried (8804) unto thee, and were delivered (8738): they trusted (8804) in thee, and were not confounded (8804). 6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised (8803) of the people. 7 All they that see (8802) me laugh me to scorn (8686): they shoot out (8686) the lip, they shake (8686) the head, saying, 8 He trusted (8800) on the LORD that he would deliver (8762) him: let him deliver (8686) him, seeing he delighted (8804) in him. 9 But thou art he that took (8801) me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope (8688) when I was upon my mother's breasts. 10 I was cast (8717) upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.
