Prayer for Protection, Guidance and Pardon.

A Psalm of David.

1 To You, O LORD, I lift R661 up my soul.

2 O my God, in You I R662 trust,

Do not let me be R663 ashamed;

Do not let my enemies R664 exult over me.

3 Indeed, none R665 of those who wait for You will be ashamed;

Those F230 who deal R666 treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

4 Make R667 me know Your ways, O LORD;

Teach me Your paths.

5 Lead me in Your R668 truth and teach me,

For You are the God R669 of my salvation;

For You I wait R670 all the day.

6 Remember, R671 O LORD, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses,

For they have been from R672 F231 of old.

7 Do not remember the sins R673 of my youth or my transgressions;

According R674 to Your lovingkindness remember me,

For Your goodness' R675 sake, O LORD.

8 Good R676 and upright R677 is the LORD;

Therefore He instructs R678 sinners in the way.

9 He leads R679 the humble F232 in justice,

And He teaches R680 the humble F232 His way.

10 All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness R681 and truth

To those R682 who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

11 For Your R683 name's sake, O LORD,

Pardon R684 my iniquity, for it is great.

12 Who is the man who fears R685 the LORD?

He will instruct R686 him in the way he should choose.

13 His soul will abide R687 in prosperity, F233

And his descendants F234 will inherit R688 the land. F235

14 The secret R689 F236 of the LORD is for those who fear Him,

And F237 He will make R690 them know His covenant.

15 My eyes R691 are continually toward the LORD,

For He will pluck R692 F238 my feet out of the net.

16 Turn R693 to me and be gracious to me,

For I am lonely R694 and afflicted.

17 The F239 troubles R695 of my heart are enlarged;

Bring me out R696 of my distresses.

18 Look R697 upon my affliction and my trouble, F240

And forgive R698 all my sins.

19 Look upon my enemies, for they are R699 many,

And they hate R700 me with violent hatred.

20 Guard R701 my soul and deliver me;

Do not let me be R702 ashamed, for I take refuge in You.

21 Let integrity R703 and uprightness preserve me,

For I R704 wait for You.

22 Redeem R705 Israel, O God,

Out of all his troubles.
