The LORD, a Provider and Deliverer.

A Psalm of David when he feigned F296 madness before Abimelech, F296 who drove him away and he departed.

1 I will bless R950 the LORD at all times;

His praise R951 shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul will make R952 its boast in the LORD;

The humble R953 will hear it and rejoice.

3 O magnify R954 the LORD with me,

And let us exalt R955 His name together.

4 I sought R956 the LORD, and He answered me,

And delivered R957 me from all my fears.

5 They looked R958 to Him and were radiant,

And their faces will never R959 be ashamed.

6 This poor F297 man cried, and the R960 LORD heard him

And saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel R961 of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,

And rescues them.

8 O taste R962 and see that the LORD is good;

How blessed R963 is the man who takes refuge in Him!

9 O fear the LORD, you His R964 saints;

For to those who fear Him there is no R965 want.

10 The young lions do lack and suffer hunger;

But they who seek the LORD shall not R966 be in want of any good thing.

11 Come, R967 you children, listen to me;

I R968 will teach you the R969 fear of the LORD.

12 Who R970 is the man who desires life

And loves length of days that he may see R971 good?

13 Keep your R972 tongue from evil

And your lips from speaking deceit. R973

14 Depart R974 from evil and do good;

Seek peace and pursue R975 it.

15 The eyes R976 of the LORD are toward the righteous

And His ears are open to their cry.

16 The face R977 of the LORD is against evildoers,

To cut R978 off the memory of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, R979 and the LORD hears

And delivers them out of all their troubles.

18 The LORD is R980 near to the brokenhearted R981

And saves those who are crushed R982 F298 in spirit.

19 Many R983 are the afflictions R984 of the righteous,

But the LORD delivers R985 him out of them all.

20 He keeps all his bones,

Not R986 one of them is broken.

21 Evil R987 shall slay the wicked,

And those who hate the righteous will be condemned. F299

22 The LORD redeems R988 the soul of His servants,

And none of those who take R989 refuge in Him will be condemned. F300
