Psalm 35:1-10 [ Verse 1 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 Contend, O LORD, with those who contend R990 with me; Fight against those who fight R991 against me. 2 Take hold of buckler R992 F301 and shield And rise up for my R993 help. 3 Draw also the spear and the F302 battle-axe to meet those who pursue me; Say to my soul, "I am your R994 salvation." 4 Let those be ashamed R995 and dishonored who seek my life; F303 Let those be turned R996 back and humiliated who devise evil against me. 5 Let them be like R997 chaff before the wind, With the angel of the LORD driving them on. 6 Let their way be dark and slippery, R998 With the angel of the LORD pursuing them. 7 For without R999 cause they hid R1000 their net for me; Without cause they dug a pit F304 for my soul. 8 Let destruction R1001 come upon him unawares, And let R1002 the net which he hid catch himself; Into that very destruction R1003 let him fall. 9 And my soul shall rejoice R1004 in the LORD; It shall exult R1005 in His salvation. 10 All my bones R1006 will say, "LORD, who R1007 is like You, Who delivers the afflicted from him who R1008 is too strong for him, And the R1009 afflicted and the needy from him who robs him?"
