Wickedness of Men and Lovingkindness of God.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD.

1 Transgression speaks to the ungodly within his F310 heart;

There is no R1049 fear of God before his eyes.

2 For it F311 flatters R1050 him in his own eyes

Concerning the discovery of his iniquity and the hatred of it.

3 The words R1051 of his mouth are wickedness and deceit;

He has ceased R1052 to be F312 wise and to do good.

4 He plans R1053 wickedness upon his bed;

He sets himself on a path R1054 that is not good;

He does R1055 not despise evil.

5 Your lovingkindness, R1056 O LORD, extends F313 to the heavens,

Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

6 Your righteousness R1057 is like the mountains F314 of God;

Your judgments R1058 are like a great deep.

O LORD, You preserve R1059 man and beast.

7 How precious R1060 is Your lovingkindness, O God!

And the children of men take R1061 refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

8 They drink R1062 their fill of the abundance F315 of Your house;

And You give them to drink of the river R1063 of Your delights.

9 For with You is the fountain R1064 of life;

In Your light we see light.

10 O continue Your lovingkindness to those R1065 who know You,

And Your righteousness R1066 to the upright in heart.

11 Let not the foot of pride come upon me,

And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

12 There the doers of iniquity have fallen;

They have been thrust down and cannot R1067 rise.
