Psalm 38:1-11 [ Verse 5 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 O LORD, rebuke R1149 me not in Your wrath, And chasten me not in Your burning anger. 2 For Your arrows R1150 have sunk deep into me, And Your R1151 hand has pressed down on me. 3 There is no R1152 soundness in my flesh because R1153 of Your indignation; There is no health in R1154 my bones because of my sin. 4 For my iniquities R1155 are gone over my head; As a heavy burden they weigh too much for me. 5 My wounds F332 grow foul and fester Because of my R1156 folly. 6 I am bent over and greatly R1157 bowed down; I go R1158 mourning all day long. 7 For my loins are filled with burning, R1159 And there is no R1160 soundness in my flesh. 8 I am benumbed R1161 and badly F333 crushed; I groan R1162 F334 because of the agitation F335 of my heart. 9 Lord, all my R1163 desire is before F336 You; And my sighing R1164 is not hidden from You. 10 My heart throbs, my R1165 strength fails me; And the light R1166 of my eyes, even that F337 has F338 gone from me. 11 My loved R1167 F339 ones and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand R1168 afar off.
