The Beauty and Glory of Zion.

A Song; a Psalm of the sons of Korah.

1 Great R1437 is the LORD, and greatly to be praised,

In the city R1438 of our God, His holy R1439 mountain.

2 Beautiful R1440 in elevation, the R1441 joy of the whole earth,

Is Mount Zion in the far north,

The city R1442 of the great King.

3 God, in her palaces,

Has made Himself known as a stronghold. R1443

4 For, lo, the kings R1444 assembled themselves,

They passed by together.

5 They saw it, then they were amazed;

They were terrified, R1445 they fled F426 in alarm.

6 Panic F427 seized them there,

Anguish, as of a R1446 woman in childbirth.

7 With the east R1447 wind

You break R1448 the ships R1449 of Tarshish.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen

In the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God;

God will establish R1450 her forever. Selah. F428

9 We have thought on Your R1451 lovingkindness, O God,

In the midst of Your temple.

10 As is Your name, R1452 O God,

So is Your praise R1453 to the ends of the earth;

Your right R1454 hand is full of righteousness.

11 Let Mount Zion R1455 be glad,

Let the daughters R1455 of Judah rejoice

Because of Your judgments.

12 Walk about Zion and go around her;

Count her towers; R1456

13 Consider her ramparts; R1457

Go through her palaces,

That you may tell R1458 it to the next generation.

14 For such F429 is God,

Our God forever and ever;

He will guide R1459 us until F430 death.
