God's Abundant Favor to Earth and Man.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1 There will be silence before F618 You, and praise in Zion, O God,

And to You the vow R1880 will be performed.

2 O You who hear prayer,

To You all R1881 men F619 come.

3 Iniquities R1882 F620 prevail against me;

As for our transgressions, You forgive R1883 F621 them.

4 How blessed R1884 is the one whom You choose R1885 and bring near to You

To dwell in Your courts.

We will be satisfied R1886 with the goodness of Your house,

Your holy temple.

5 By awesome R1887 deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God R1888 of our salvation,

You who are the trust of all the ends R1889 of the earth and of the farthest sea; R1890 F622

6 Who establishes R1891 the mountains by His strength,

Being girded R1892 with might;

7 Who stills R1893 the roaring of the seas,

The roaring of their waves,

And the tumult R1894 of the peoples.

8 They who dwell in the ends R1895 of the earth stand in awe of Your signs;

You make the dawn F623 and the sunset shout for joy.

9 You visit the earth and cause R1896 it to overflow;

You greatly enrich R1897 it;

The stream R1898 F624 of God is full of water;

You prepare their grain, R1899 for thus You prepare the F625 earth.

10 You water its furrows abundantly,

You settle F626 its ridges,

You soften it with R1900 showers,

You bless its growth.

11 You have crowned the year with F627 Your bounty, R1901 F628

And Your paths F629 drip R1902 with fatness.

12 The R1903 pastures of the wilderness drip,

And the hills R1904 gird themselves with rejoicing.

13 The meadows are clothed R1905 with flocks

And the valleys are covered R1906 with grain;

They shout R1907 for joy, yes, they sing.
