Praise for God's Mighty Deeds and for His Answer to Prayer.

For the choir director. A Song. A Psalm.

1 Shout R1908 joyfully to God, all the earth;

2 Sing the glory R1909 of His name;

Make His praise R1910 glorious.

3 Say to God, "How awesome R1911 are Your works!

Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give R1912 F630 feigned obedience to You.

4 "All R1913 the earth will worship You,

And will sing R1914 praises to You;

They will sing praises to Your name." Selah. F631

5 Come R1915 and see the works of God,

Who is awesome R1916 in His deeds toward the sons of men.

6 He turned R1917 the sea into dry land;

They passed through the R1918 river on foot;

There let us rejoice R1919 in Him!

7 He rules R1920 by His might forever;

His eyes R1921 keep watch on the nations;

Let not the rebellious exalt R1922 themselves. Selah.

8 Bless our God, O peoples,

And sound R1923 F632 His praise abroad,

9 Who keeps R1924 F633 us in life

And does R1925 not allow our feet to slip. F634

10 For You have tried R1926 us, O God;

You have refined R1927 us as silver is refined.

11 You brought R1928 us into the net;

You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins.

12 You made men ride R1929 over our heads;

We went through fire R1930 and through water,

Yet You brought R1931 us out into a place of abundance.

13 I shall come R1932 into Your house with burnt offerings;

I shall pay R1933 You my vows,

14 Which my lips uttered

And my mouth spoke when I was in R1934 distress.

15 I shall offer R1935 to You burnt offerings of fat beasts,

With the smoke of rams; R1936

I shall make an offering of bulls F635 with male goats. Selah.

16 Come R1937 and hear, all who fear F636 God,

And I will tell R1938 of what He has done for my soul.

17 I cried to Him with my mouth,

And He F637 was extolled R1939 with my tongue.

18 If I regard R1940 F638 wickedness in my heart,

The Lord R1941 will F639 not hear; F640

19 But certainly God R1942 has heard;

He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed R1943 be God,

Who has R1944 not turned away my prayer

Nor His lovingkindness from me.
