Prayer of an Old Man for Deliverance.

1 In R2104 You, O LORD, I have taken refuge;

Let me never be ashamed.

2 In R2105 Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me;

Incline R2106 Your ear to me and save me.

3 Be R2107 to me a rock of habitation R2108 to which I may continually come;

You have given commandment R2109 to save me,

For You are my R2110 rock F705 and my fortress.

4 Rescue R2111 me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked,

Out of the grasp F706 of the wrongdoer and ruthless man,

5 For You are my hope; R2112

O Lord GOD F707 , You are my confidence R2113 from my youth.

6 By F708 You I have been sustained R2114 from my birth;

You are He who took R2115 me from my mother's womb;

My praise R2116 is continually of F709 You.

7 I have become a marvel R2117 to many,

For You are my R2118 strong refuge.

8 My mouth R2119 is filled with Your praise

And with Your R2120 glory all day long.

9 Do not cast me off in the time R2121 of old age;

Do not forsake me when my strength fails.

10 For my enemies have spoken against F710 me;

And those who watch R2122 for my life F711 have R2123 consulted together,

11 Saying, "God R2124 has forsaken him;

Pursue and seize him, for there is no R2125 one to deliver."

12 O God, do R2126 not be far from me;

O my God, hasten R2127 to my help!

13 Let those who are adversaries of my soul be ashamed R2128 and consumed;

Let them be covered R2129 with reproach and dishonor, who seek R2130 to F712 injure me.

14 But as for me, I will hope R2131 continually,

And will praise R2132 F713 You yet more and more.

15 My mouth R2133 shall tell of Your righteousness

And of Your R2134 salvation all day long;

For I do R2135 not know the sum F714 of them.

16 I will come with R2136 the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD F715 ;

I will make R2137 mention of Your righteousness, Yours alone.

17 O God, You have R2138 taught me from my youth,

And I still declare R2139 Your wondrous deeds.

18 And even when I am old R2140 and gray, O God, do not forsake me,

Until I declare R2141 Your strength F716 to this generation,

Your power to all who are to come.

19 For F717 Your righteousness, R2142 O God, reaches to the heavens, F718

You who have done R2143 great things;

O God, who R2144 is like You?

20 You who have shown R2145 me F719 many troubles and distresses

Will revive R2146 me F719 again,

And will bring me F719 up again from R2147 the depths of the earth.

21 May You increase my greatness R2148

And turn to comfort R2149 me.

22 I will also praise You with a R2150 F720 harp,

Even Your truth, F721 O my God;

To You I will sing praises with the lyre, R2151

O Holy R2152 One of Israel.

23 My lips will shout R2153 for joy when I sing praises to You;

And my soul, R2154 which You have redeemed.

24 My tongue R2155 also will utter Your righteousness all day long;

For they are ashamed, R2156 for they are humiliated who seek my F722 hurt.
