Longing for the Temple Worship.

For the choir director; on F903 the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

1 How lovely are Your dwelling R2641 places,

O LORD of hosts!

2 My soul R2642 longed and even yearned for the courts of the LORD;

My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living R2643 God.

3 The bird also has found a house,

And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young,

Even Your altars, R2644 O LORD of hosts,

My R2645 King and my God.

4 How blessed R2646 are those who dwell in Your house!

They are ever R2647 praising You. Selah. F904

5 How blessed is the man whose strength R2648 is in You,

In whose F905 heart are the highways R2649 to Zion!

6 Passing through the valley of Baca F906 they make it a spring; F907

The early R2650 rain also covers it with blessings.

7 They go R2651 from strength to strength,

Every F908 one of them appears R2652 before God in Zion.

8 O LORD R2653 God of hosts, hear my prayer;

Give ear, O God R2654 of Jacob! Selah.

9 Behold our shield, R2655 O God,

And look upon the face of Your R2656 anointed.

10 For a R2657 day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside.

I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God

Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 For the LORD God is a R2658 sun and shield; R2659

The LORD gives grace and glory; R2660

No R2661 good thing does He withhold from F909 those who walk uprightly. F910

12 O LORD of hosts,

How blessed R2662 is the man who trusts in You!
